Ignorance is Bliss

It's a saying that some people agree with and some don't.

But maybe theres levels,

Levels of knowledge..

And what your knowledgeable about

What the subject is.

Some communities in Judaism think its very good to shelter their children from anything secular,

From anything related to this physical world we are currently in.

Others think that sheltering your children is horrible and they should be normal kids, interacting with the world and struggling with all the normal human things.

But there's some that think,

My children should know about the world, but to an extent.

In order to be an addiction counselor, do you personally need to have been an addict?

No.

You don't.

You don't actually have to exactly relate to and interact with those aspects of life in order to improve them.

You can know the gist.

You don't have to get yourself addicted to drugs to know that they are bad.

Sometimes you don't need extreme, hands-on, personal experience to help the situation.

Sometimes you can know of that thing from afar, and still be of help and support and guidance.

Going back to the start.

Adam and Chava, the first humans,

Who were made of total good-

No evil whatsoever was in their DNA,

Total innocence,

Like a baby.

They lived in the Garden of Eden- aka- Heaven.

And flowed with Gds pure holiness and revealed goodness and light.

And Gd told them-

You can eat from everything anywhere, but not from the Tree of Knowledge.

Aka-

Tree of Knowledge Good and Bad,

For on that day, you will die.

Then, one day they met the snake.

And we all know what happened next-

ahahah -

Nervous laugh…

Well head in there for a hot second.

Lets see what the snake is like for a second.

The snake was created with good and bad mixed together,

And when he convinced Chava and Adam to eat from the Tree of Knowledge, he knew exactly what he was doing-

That sly lil snake…

Gd didn't want Adam and Chava to eat from that tree because when they would, they would “be like Gd”.

That sounds cool right?!

No.

It wasn't a good idea-

Gds place is to be Gd,

And even though being Gd is great,

Its not our place as human beings.

Because,

To Gd, Good and Bad is totally separate, its in clear boxes.

Very very clear.

And it doesn't have the ability to mix, and get totally confused.

But to us humans,

When we know of the good and bad,

It has the ability to mix, and gets all jumbled and confused, and can become very unclear, blurred.

The line of good and bad can get blurred to us humans.

And can really confuse us and make us go crazy, because we are beings that internalize things, and those things can seep into us.

Now, this is actually what the snake knew, but Adam and Chava didn't-

Why?

HOw?

Because the snake himself was a mix of good and bad, but Adam and Chava were total pure holiness.

And the snake wanted them to eat from it,

But why?

Because if they didn't,

They would have been able to live in that space of pure holiness for eternity, total goodness and positivity,

But isnt the purpose of life to elevate everything to holiness?

Yes,

So how would that have gotten done?

Sometimes just by being totally pure, and good and holy,

It can elevate everything around it.

So they wouldn't have to do anything at all, just exist with holiness and light, and that would uplift and elevate the entire world.

Dispelling the darkness with light.

The more good, holy, pure things you know and express in the world, the less room and space there is for the opposite to exist.

But here we are now.

The first humans got convinced to, instead of just needing to exist and shine brightly,

To need to interact with the world,

While knowing the good and the bad,

And our mission, what we need to do is to sift through the bad and good.

Its hard.

And the snake knew that,

But he thought,

If they would never have any bad mixed inside of them,

All the bad would disappear, no longer exist, and he would no longer exist, because the light that was inside of him, would unite with the rest of the good.

So he thought,

Heres what im gonna do-

Make them know good and bad,

Letting me have more time,

And sometimes the humans will fail, and be confused, and mixed up, allowing me to win this war in this lifetime struggle, allowing me to grow stronger and hopefully overpower and rule over the good, light, holiness, purity, unity.

But we, as humans, have the ability to let our essence, the piece of GD inside of us, our holiness shine, and overpower that sly little snake, eventually uniting all the holiness, elevating the world, and returning everything to pure light and revealed goodness.

So,

Its true,

Interacting with the world is important.

We are human beings.

But here's the thing.

There's a limit of interaction,

And while interacting,

The goal has to be burning bright in your mind and heart at all times.

Of why were interacting with this thing in front of us-

The goal-

The purpose of elevation.
