LIFE.
mission.
personal, individual.
public, general
self.
others.
introspection.
social connection.
This is Judaism.
The balance.
the totality of all these topics mushed together in one.
some people think that these things might not have so much to do with each other-
personal, self, introspection, individual, introvert
and
public, general, others, social connection, extrovert
some might even think that one of them is better than the other-
but guess what.
I'm here to bust that thought.
This past week was Yud Beis- 12th and Yud Gimmel- 13th of Tammuz the days we celebrate the Previous Chabad Rebbes release from imprisonment in russia.
We celebrate two days because many years ago, when The Rebbe was being freed on Yud Beis Tammuz, it was a national Russian holiday, so he was not actually, publicly freed, but personally freed.
He was a free man, that was in jail.
Why was he put in jail in the first place?
for spreading Torah and inspiration through Judaism to other Jewish people.
THIS was his "crime".
The day after on Yud Gimmel Tammuz, he was actually freed.
Publicly,
out in the open.
released from jail.
was able to leave and go back to his family and Chossidim- followers.
In Judaism, the day starts at night because we go by the lunar calendar.
The night between these two days is very special.
it teaches us that yes in judaism we have to introspect and be here for ourselves, learn Torah, contemplate, go deep, understand who we are inside,
but we also need to be able to go out of ourselves.
we need to be able to be there for others,
inspire the public, inspire the world,
bring light to others.
connect with other people,
do Mitzvot that have to do with connecting and interacting with the world and other human beings around us.
This night teaches us that although these two things seem very different from each other,
and if you're an "introvert" it's hard to be in public, or share Torah or do Mitzvos,
and if you're an "extrovert" you dont like to sit by yourself and concentrate/introspect and have the quiet personal Torah time,
we have to think deeply and honestly,
understanding where we come from, and what our actual potential is-
if we understand who we are deeply,
we can realize that we have the power to go out of our own nature, and change it up.
What does this moment need from me?
Is Gd asking me to introspect right now, or lend a hand to another person?
This picture that I decided to use for the cover pic was taken this week.
i think it goes well with the topics here.
Torah.
Judaism.
Learning Torah and Doing Mitzvos.
Why do we kiss a Torah?
It's covered in material.
That's not holy.
Wrong.
We have used that material to cover a TORAH.
The holiest thing in life.
We write the holy words on Parchment, with ink and a feather.
Because that's why we're here.
To uplift the material with spiritual.
infuse the mundane,
infuse the material, the physical
with Gdliness.
with holiness.
with spirituality.
Let the material be the vessel for bringing Holiness into the world.

Someone had to raise or pay a ton of money for that Sefer Torah to be written-
Someone used their physical money that they got, that they put their time and energy into getting, and used it to bring more revealed Gdliness into this world.
and guess what?
Someone else is going to be able to learn and read from that Torah.
And they both uplift each other.
They both infuse each other's lives with purpose,
meaning,
depth,
Gdliness,
clarity,
You cant have one without the lother-
They are on the same team,
but have different tasks
different personal missions.
Our Teams general goal is to infuse the whole world with as much REVEALED GDliness, as much REVEALED Holiness, positivity, goodness, kindness,
as possible.
But our individual tasks are all totally unique and molded just for us,
and our goal is not complete,
our puzzle is not complete if one person is missing,
if one person isn't doing his personal task...
